Marietta Square Art Walk VisitorsMarietta Square Art Walk continues Friday, April 1st and every first Friday through November from 5pm to 9pm. Art Walk celebrates the vitality of Marietta’s diverse cultural Arts scene with artists, businesses, and organizations representing all the Arts. The evening comes alive as performance, dance, culinary and visual Art permeate every corner of the charming Historic Marietta Square.

During this free, self-guided walking tour guests will enjoy gallery openings at Red Door Art Gallery & Studios, dk Gallery, Marietta Square Artists Attic, and 2 Rules Fine Art.

This month Art Walk welcomes two new businesses to the Marietta Square: The ARTS Gallery, located on Mill St inside Epiphany Health Studio, and Paint The Town Marietta Square, located on Atlanta St just down from The Marietta Cobb Museum of Art.

Event-goers will enjoy live music throughout The Square, including at Hemingway’s Bar & Grill and Stockyard Burger & Bones. Culinary tastings, demonstrations and incredible food at local restaurants will not disappoint. Local, original photography, painting, sculpture and more will be on display along the sidewalks throughout town. Art lovers will also enjoy late night shopping at the many one-of-a-kind boutiques.

Artful Weekend in Marietta Square

Marietta Square Art Walk kicks off a weekend celebration of art at the Marietta Square. Art galleries, museums, boutiques and restaurants host local artists and musicians from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, September 4 during this free, self-guided tour. Visitors can stroll the brick sidewalks of the Marietta Square while enjoying the intown culture and small town charm this Southern city center is known for.

“The Sun & the Moon” is the title of a special exhibit at Marietta Square Artist’s Attic featuring local artists. The walls of dk Gallery will showcase the color pink for their show titled “Pretty in Pink.” The Art Walk Mystery theme at Red Door Art Gallery & Studio will be “Air.”

Red Door Art Gallery & Studio will also host an interactive community painting in the Beer Garden, to be auctioned off for a local charity. Pick up dinner to-go at award-winning restaurant The Marietta Local, from their special Art Walk “Walk-Around” menu, and enjoy drinks at Art Walk’s Beer Garden, in Atherton Square, located behind Cool Beans Coffee. The Beer Garden will host live music by Art Walk favorites Jennings Music and Tony Hall.

Art Walk visitors will get a sneak peek at the Art in the Park Festival as it sets up Friday night for the 3-day weekend. Several streets will close to make room for an incredible art display, including paintings, photography, pottery, graphic arts, sculptures, jewelry, and woodworking from 175 of the country’s finest artists.

Parking is free starting Friday night at 5:00 p.m. in the parking deck on Cherokee Street, across from the Earl Smith Strand Theatre and House of Lu, as well as the other two parking decks located off of Waddell Street and Lawrence Street. The newest Art Walk venue House of Lu will host music by Mike Fox, photographer Jennifer Ludlum, and mosaic artist Dillon Reed.

Congratulations to McKenzie Snow, winner of the “Best of Show” award in August. He will be given the opportunity to display his art in November at one of four local gallery sponsors: dk Gallery, Marietta Square Artist’s Attic, 2 Rules Fine Art and Red Door Art Gallery & Studio. Jill Williams won the “People’s Choice Award” last month, voted for by Art Walk guests online through Facebook.

Pick up dinner to-go from The Marietta Local, featuring a special “Walk-Around” menu, then enjoy cold drinks at The Beer Garden located in Atherton Square, just behind Cool Beans Coffee. The Beer Garden will host live music by Jennings Music, Marietta Social Club and the Emerson Drummers.

The Marietta/Cobb Museum of Art is open and free to the public the night of Art Walk, and will feature Metro Montage XV. MCMA will also feature live music by He Sang She Sang.

Join Us This Friday, June 5th for an Art-Filled Evening in Marietta Square

Marietta Square Art Walk celebrates the arts Friday, June 5, and continues every first Friday through November. Art galleries, museums, boutiques and restaurants host local artists and musicians from 5 to 9 p.m. during this FREE, self-guided tour.

Visitors will enjoy an evening art stroll amid the 19th century backdrop, enjoying intown culture and small town charm.

Local art and live music will fill all corners of Marietta Square. Dancers from the Georgia Metropolitan Dance Theatre will perform among the pedestrians. The Beer Garden, located behind Cool Beans Coffee, hosts live music by Jennings Music, Scarlet Wool and singer/songwriter Tony Hall.
